Lonzo Ball and the Chicago Bulls were on the winning side of the Ball brother rivalry. After the game, Lonzo spoke about the contribution his team got from big man Nikola Vucevic and what it’s like to square off against his youngest brother.

Lonzo had high praise for his Montenegrin center. The big man had what was possibly his best game as a Bull. Lonzo wants to continue to get him involved and make him comfortable. Vucevic was looking comfortable as he converted 6 of 6 from the 3 point line. This game was a good step in finding his rhythm coming off of the Covid list.

Aside from the game itself, there was a more specific match-up within. When asked about his brother, Lonzo was clear in saying: “I play to win.” He reiterated that statement multiple times throughout the post-game conference. It is all business when the two brothers share the court. Obviously, human instinct kicks in somewhat, but both brothers did a good job of focusing on the game itself. Lonzo knows they have accomplished a great feat by both making it to the NBA. He is happy to make his dad proud.

Going forward, he does not think LaMelo will dwell on this loss too hard. He knows they have many more matchups to come. Lonzo believes they won’t truly appreciate the battles until it is all said and done. Meanwhile, Lonzo’s Bulls sit near the top of the Eastern Conference. While he’s always ready to face off against his brother, he will continue to focus on building bonds with his new teammates and helping them win.
